A new game show is being developed for GSN with the direct inspiration coming from the iconic 80's character! Who's hosting this escapade? How many season are green-lit? Read on to find out!

With the COVID-19 vaccine becoming more and more readily available, and overall accessible, the GSN (Game Show network) has been tasked with making more and more new exciting properties as they have suffered from the pandemic's drought on content. Despite many efforts, only one game show coming this fall gained the attention of the producers and the network, in all its one name glory: MACGYVER.
That's right, the classic 80's action-adventure series about Angus "Mac" MacGyver, a secret agent who could solve any problem with the most unorthodox solution, usually involving miscellaneous items such as a paper clip. However, despite the mediocre 2016 reboot, the GSN has decided to develop a strategy-based game show based around MacGyver!
Each round is reportedly supposed to give you a basket of tools, almost akin to the Food Network series Chopped. You will also reportedly have about 20 minutes to complete each task, and the series will condense to the highlights. While the network is extremely excited for this series, Safety Supervisors seem to be hesitant.
Over the course of their trial run of the series, for planning sets, and games, the safety supervisors found that some of the tools are too dangerous for the average contestant. Multiple stunt men practicing and testing the courses have ended up with broken bones, and numerous bruises.
It remains to be seen if this series will endure its 17 pre-approved seasons.
