A new dance trend is sweeping the nation as clubs everywhere are seeing the extinction of "vougeing," and seeing the birth of . . . well, uh . . . "vaguing." This new trend sees people vaguely explaining a dance, rather than actually dancing, as to help improve COVID-19 awareness and guidelines in clubs.
Popular "vauges" include, explaining the Macarena, reciting what the "hustle" is, and literally teaching someone how to "dougie". An organization has been founded, however, as a support group for those who no longer remember how to dance these classic dances. A local Oshkosh man, a frequent of Kelly's Bar, stated: "I just want to remember how to even do these dances, man." The man with tears in his eyes, and bourbon on his breath continued, "Just the other day, I tried to do the running man . . . I was just jogging!"
Yet another trend, that no, is not a phase, MOM! Just a few short years ago, we questioned the "whip, nae nae," and yes, even the "shoot." However, no one is watching anyone "whip" or "nae nae" anymore. Now, with these dances being extinct, what's next? Planking being the new dance craze? What about a simple hop?
What are your thoughts on this new trend? What dances have you forgotten? How does this make you feel? You already know what to do. Let us know down in the comments!
